Julia was born on 27 April 1998 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA, USA. She weighed in at 7lbs 14oz and was 21 1/2" long. At 6 months she weighed 14lbs, 9oz and was 26" long.

Then she started crawling. Swift and silent. You'd turn around and back and she'd be gone. At 14 months she started walking. Before that she could spend hours pushing around a toy baby carriage saying "beh-be, beh-be". And she climbs. Chairs, ride-on toys, tables, parents. You say "lunch" and she scales her way up into her high-chair. She knows no fear.

She's also part-dolphin. She just loves the water, always has. Dumping a bucket of water over her head doesn't faze her in the least. Say "bubble" to her in a swimming pool and her face dives into the water (this at 15 months).
